Our one-year warranty

Every Motion Heat product is covered for one year from delivery. If something fails because of how it was made, we replace it. No restocking fee, no argument, no fine print about "normal use."

We build heated gear in Alberta for Canadian winters, and we have been doing it long enough to know what fails and what doesn't. When a liner stops heating or a connector gives out, that is on us to fix.

Before you return anything, talk to us

Most problems people assume are faults turn out to be something simple. Gloves that won't turn on usually just need a faster double-tap — two quick taps, like double-clicking a mouse, without holding the second one (see how). Others are a loose connector, a battery that needs a full charge, or a glove that needs a size swap. All of these are fixed in a phone call, and you keep gear that works instead of waiting on a refund.

Call 403-233-8841 or email info@powerinmotion.ca, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 AM–6 PM MST. Tell us what it is doing and we will tell you straight away whether it is a warranty claim, a quick fix, or the wrong size.

What's covered

  • Heating elements that stop working — in glove liners, vests, insoles or socks
  • Wiring, connectors and harnesses that fail or come apart
  • Batteries that will not hold or deliver a charge because of a cell or board fault
  • Chargers that stop charging
  • Seams, switches and controllers that fail in normal use

We replace the glove that failed, not the pair

Glove liners are the product we replace most often, and it is almost always one liner rather than both. So we send you the one that failed, in your size, for the hand you need. You keep the good one. It is faster for you and it means we are not throwing away a working glove.

What's not covered

  • Wear and tear — abrasion, pilling, worn palms, fading
  • Accidental damage — cuts, tears, burns, crush damage, pet damage
  • Gradual battery capacity loss. Lithium cells lose some run time over hundreds of charges. That is normal. A battery that fails outright is covered; one that has slowly lost capacity over a couple of seasons is a consumable
  • Water immersion. Our gear handles snow and sweat. It is not built to be submerged or machine-washed unless the product page says so
  • Modified or repaired gear — cut wires, swapped connectors, third-party batteries
  • Lost or stolen items

How to make a claim

Send us these four things and we can usually resolve it in one exchange rather than five:

  1. Your order number (it looks like MH1234CA) or the email address you ordered with
  2. What is happening — which item, which hand or side, and what it does or doesn't do
  3. A photo or short video of the item, and a close-up of the connector or the area you think is at fault
  4. Your size and battery type, so we can pull the right replacement while we are talking to you

Once we have confirmed the claim we ship a replacement within 1–5 business days, and shipping it to you is on us.

We may ask you to send the failed item back so we can see what went wrong — that is how we catch a bad production batch before it reaches anyone else. Postage to send items to us is yours to cover. We are a small Alberta company, and that is how we keep the replacement itself free.

If it's a sizing problem, not a fault

Sizing is a different process and usually a faster one. If yours are wrong, see how to return or exchange an item or call us and we will sort the swap.

Worth knowing before you order: liners should sit close to your hand but never tight. If you are between two sizes, go one size up — a liner that is too tight strains the heating elements. Motion Heat mittens are sized to fit over our liners, so order those in the same size.

Buying for a workplace, clinic or crew?

Warranty claims on accounts work the same way, but you do not need to go through the retail process item by item. Call us and we will handle it against your account, including replacements issued to individual staff or claimants.
